Passenger Coffee

Passenger is a coffee shop in Berlin, Germany. It was started by two friends in 2004 as a mobile espresso service. Motivated by their interest in roasting processes and quality assurance, they eventually started their own coffee roasting company ‘Passenger Coffee’. Now they have a coffee bar, house and passenger blends, as well as training courses for business partners and their baristas.

Project overview

Passenger Coffee was a web app development project with specific requirements tailored to Coffee roasting and retailing business. Their primary requirement was a website representing their brand as a passionate coffee roaster. They also wanted e-commerce capability to sell their products online and they were targeting English as well as Deutsch speaking audience.

What we did

We implemented passenger coffee website on WordPress for faster web app development and rapid prototyping, as quite a few iterations were required to paint client’s passion for coffee roasting. We added e-commerce capabilities using Woo-Commerce for selling their products online. We also used WMPL plugin, so now the website is available in both German and English.
